Alerts will extend into the Azure portal starting May 14, 2018
 | Awareness | | | | | | Alerts from Microsoft Operations Management Suite will now extend into Azure Dear Azure customer, You're receiving this notification because you currently use alerts in Microsoft Operations Management Suite. We've revamped alerts in Azure by making them faster, adding support for more metrics, and providing a consolidated experience in the Azure portal. Starting May 14, 2018, Microsoft will automatically extend alerts created in Operations Management Suite to Azure without affecting your monitoring or causing downtime. | | | Introduction to Azure alerts and action groups The alerts experience in Azure has a fresh look and updated functionality, available in the Alerts tab under Azure Monitor. Advantages of using the new Alerts experience include: · A unified authoring experience for metric, activity, and log alert rules. · Manage, enumerate, and view all your alert types, not only Log Analytics alerts. · Create unlimited log alert rules for Log Analytics in Azure Monitor, without the Operations Management Suite limit of 250 alert rules. · Utilize action groups, which allow you to have more than one action for each alert including SMS, voice call, automation runbook, webhook, ITSM connector, and more. Alerts you created in Operations Management Suite will automatically extend to Azure beginning May 14, 2018. After this update, alerts will continue to be listed in Operations Management Suite portal, but for all management actions, you will be transparently taken to Azure alerts. If you access alerts via Log Analytics Alert REST API, you'll use action groups instead of actions. | | | Thank you, Your Azure team | | | | | | | |
