Both of these environments have not had any changes. more in which case is network traffic unencrypted? [VIEWS: 174 • REPLIES: 12] Hi everybody, I know that veeam has a functionality to encrypt network traffic but I do not exactly know in which cases data will be transferred unencrypted. Say if you take a backup, your proxies only use hotadd and your repository is encrypting the data - where will the data be encrypted? By the proxy on source side? By any other instance? If we talk about nbd mode (without ssl) I know that at least the read data would be unencrypted and I think also using replication between two proxies would transfer raw data per default but as I said I'm not sure how it works between Proxy/Windows Agent and encrypted repository. more Surebackup Lab [VIEWS: 151 • REPLIES: 4] I need to bring up my AD Server, Exchange 2016 Server and Email Vaulting server from a previous backup in a isolated lab. I've got a Prod site and a DR site, each running VMware vSphere. I am setting up Veeam to replicate some VM's from Prod to DR over our WAN link. The WAN bandwith is only 10Mbps, so I'm doing the seeding method and so I've installed Veeam at the prod site, created a full backup of a VM, brought the backup to the DR site, added it as a Backup Repository on the DR Veeam server and restored the VM onto my DR vSphere environment OK. more |
