THE WORD FROM GOSTEV |
For those of you using SMB network share on NetGear ReadyNAS as a backup storage for Veeam Agent for Windows, please note that updating firmware to the latest version 6.9.0 will make your backups start failing. This is caused by the fact that NetGear implemented advanced file system control (FSCTL_DUPLICATE_EXTENTS_TO_FILE), which presence tells our data mover than the storage supports fast cloning. However, the actual fast cloning will fail because another control we require is not implemented (FSCTL_SET_INTEGRITY_INFORMATION). As a result, the job will fail with "Agent failed to process method {ReFs.SetFileIntegrity}" error. If you run into this issue, please open a support case with us to get the hot fix. |
