Azure Virtual Machines: Fv2-Series generally available; G-Series available in additional regions
Pricing | Virtual Machines webpage
Azure Virtual Machines delivers the power of server virtualization in the cloud, supporting a wide variety of Linux distributions, Windows Server, SQL Server, Oracle, IBM, and SAP. It enables solutions including dev and testing, running production apps, and extending the scale of your customers' datacenters, giving them the power to deploy an app in seconds instead of weeks.

Fv2-Series VMs:

Are powered by the latest Intel Xeon Scalable processors, code-named Skylake.

Are ideal for compute intensive workloads such as scientific modeling, advanced analytics, engineering simulations, and machine learning inference.

Are available in seven sizes, the largest of which has 72 vCPUs and 144 GB of random-access memory (RAM).

Will support Azure Premium Storage disks by default and Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA)-based Azure accelerated networking capabilities for ultra-low VM-to-VM latencies.

Have newly added Skylake processor capabilities that will provide up to twice the performance boost to vector processing workloads on both single and double precision floating point operations.

Fv2-Series VMs are now generally available in the West US 2, East US, Southeast Asia, and West Europe regions.

G-Series VMs provide a high-performance foundation for database workloads that require high compute performance and large amounts of RAM to support in-memory database operations. G-Series VMs are now generally available in the UK South region. GA pricing will begin on January 1, 2018. Usage prior to January 1, 2018, will be billed at preview rates.

Azure Container Registry managed tiers generally available; geo-replication feature in preview
Please view pricing below | Container Registry webpage
Azure Container Registry lets your customers store and manage images for all types of container deployments including DC/OS, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, and Azure services such as App Service, Batch, Service Fabric, and others. Using Container Registry, your customers can:

Keep container images near deployments to reduce latency and cost.

Simplify their registry access management using Azure Active Directory.

Managed tiers generally available
Container Registry is now generally available in Basic, Standard, and Premium tiers. By using managed tiers, your customers can easily move between Basic, Standard, and Premium, and Container Registry will manage caching of storage accounts to meet the throughput and API calls. By choosing Premium, they'll have higher throughput because Container Registry replicates and manages images across multiple (encrypted at rest) storage accounts.

Geo-replication available in preview
Geo-replication enables Container Registry to function as a single registry, while being available for local operations in the replicated regions. As images are used across many Azure services, your customers can benefit from a single management plane while maintaining network-close, fast, and reliable image pulls. Geo-replicated registries provide the following benefits:

Network-close registry access from regional deployments

No additional egress fees, as images are pulled from a local, replicated registry in the same region as your customers' container host

The geo-replication feature is now in preview. Learn more about Container Registry on the overview webpage.

Azure Media Services Standard Streaming Endpoint in preview, Streaming Endpoint integration with Azure Content Delivery Network in Germany
Pricing | Streaming endpoints overview webpage
Azure Media Services lets your customers deliver any media, on virtually any device, to anywhere in the world using the cloud. The collection of services provides encoding, live or on-demand streaming, content protection, and indexing for video and audio content.

Standard Streaming Endpoint in preview
Now in preview, Streaming Endpoint and Streaming Units are Media Services components that deliver content directly to a media player app or to Azure Content Delivery Network for further distribution. Customers can select between Standard Endpoint and Premium Streaming Units. Standard Streaming Endpoint scales outbound bandwidth automatically where Premium Units (endpoints) customers control and manage the scale operations. Moving forward:

All new Media Services accounts will be created with Standard Streaming Endpoint in a stopped state by default.

All new Media Services accounts come with 15 days of free Standard Streaming Endpoint.

Existing Media Services accounts with classic Streaming Endpoint won't be automatically migrated to Standard Streaming Endpoint, but customers will have the option to migrate manually.

Customers with Premium Streaming Units can migrate their streaming endpoints to Standard Streaming Endpoint.

Standard Streaming Endpoint integrated with Content Delivery Network
Content Delivery Network is designed to send audio, video, apps, photos, and other files to your customers' own customers faster and more reliably, using the servers closest to each user.

Your customers can enable Content Delivery Network from either Akamai or Verizon for their streaming endpoints.

All Content Delivery Network pricing tiers are supported.

When Content Delivery Network is enabled for a streaming endpoint, network transfer charges from Streaming Endpoint to Content Delivery Network are waived. Please note that data transfer charges from Content Delivery Network still apply.

Standard Streaming Endpoint integration with Content Delivery Network is now available in the Germany Northeast and Germany Central regions. Learn more about Media Services Streaming Endpoints on the overview webpage, the Enterprise Portal, and the Azure Blog.

Azure Batch low-priority virtual machines now generally available
Download pricing | Batch webpage
Azure Batch is a platform service for running large-scale parallel and high-performance computing (HPC) apps efficiently in the cloud. Batch schedules compute-intensive work to run on a managed collection of virtual machines (VMs) and can automatically scale compute resources to meet the needs of your customers' jobs. Batch lets your customers:

Scale to tens, hundreds, or thousands of VMs

Cloud-enable batch and HPC apps

Stage data and execute compute pipelines

Low-priority VMs are allocated from surplus capacity and therefore availability varies. If Batch apps can tolerate interruption and job execution time is flexible, low-priority VMs can reduce the cost of running workloads or let more work be performed at a greater scale for the same cost.

Low-priority VMs are now generally available, at a large discount compared to regular on-demand VMs. General availability (GA) pricing will begin on December 1, 2017. Learn more about Batch low-priority VMs on the overview webpage and by downloading a price sheet.

Azure API Management to offer hourly billing and new Basic pricing tier
Pricing | API Management webpage
Azure API Management lets organizations publish APIs more securely, reliably, and at scale. Your customers can use API Management to drive API consumption among internal teams, partners, and developers while benefiting from business and log analytics available in the admin portal. This service helps provide the tools your customers' organizations need for end-to-end API management, including provisioning user roles and creating usage plans and quotas. In response to customer feedback, we're making three important updates to API Management beginning December 1, 2017:

A new hourly billing rate, instead of the daily billing rate, makes API Management more accessible and cost-effective to operate. All current customers will be automatically moved to hourly pricing effective December 1, 2017.

In addition to the Developer, Standard, and Premium pricing tiers, a new Basic pricing tier will be available.

Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) will now be included with the Standard pricing tier.

Learn more about Bing Search APIs on the overview webpage, the Enterprise Portal, and the Azure Blog.

Comma-delimited (.csv) reports for new Azure consumption and charges APIs now available
The Usage Detail API offers a daily breakdown of consumed quantities and estimated charges by enrollment, and the report includes information about instances, meters, and departments. The API can be queried by billing period or by specified start and end dates.

In response to customer feedback requesting a comma-delimited (.csv) option for downloading and consuming usage and spend data, .csv support for the usage detail API is now available. You can download .csv files with Azure usage details and charges with the ability to filter by date range or billing period. Learn more about the new reporting APIs on the overview webpage or download the API Reports help file.

If you're looking to explore your customers' usage data, but you're not comfortable using the APIs mentioned above, the Microsoft Azure Consumption Insights content pack lets Azure Enterprise Agreement (EA) customers using Power BI pull usage data for 36 months and filter the response of the API to custom date ranges. Learn more about the content pack.

Previous REST APIs and the EA content pack, supported by the Enterprise Portal, will remain available until October 31, 2018.
